Personal Statement:

I had always wanted to give something back to my community and being young at heart, I felt I could make a difference to young people's lives through the Children's Panel. When I retired from amatuer football, I had Saturday's free which allowed me the time to attend training. Since joining I have become the SACP Rep for my area and joined the training committee. I have found the experience extremely rewarding so far, expanding my skills, meeting lots of new people and working with professional bodies to understand children's situations and to try and improve their circumstances.
